<p>The 2018 Dodge Challenger comes with the same four engine options as its predecessor, as well as a new supercharged engine for the Demon. The SXT, SXT Plus, and GT trims get the 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine that generates 305 horsepower. The R/T and T/A trims, with the exception of the Scat Pack and T/A 392, are equipped with a 372-horsepower 5.7-liter V-8, while the Scat Pack, T/A 392, SRT 392, and 392 Hemi Scat Pack Shaker use a 485-horsepower 6.4-liter V-8.<br/><br/>The top two trims offer a significant increase in power. The SRT Hellcat is fitted with a supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 engine with 707 horsepower, while the SRT Demon features a ferocious supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 that churns out an incredible 808 horsepower. According to the National Hot Rod Association, the Demon is the fastest quarter-mile production car in the world.<p/>
Performance
The 2018 Challenger also provides excellent ride quality. It rides smoothly and comfortably at high speeds, along curvy roads, and around turns. With its great power and acceleration, it enables you to overtake with ease. The car also comes with sturdy brakes and responsive steering to give you more confidence on the road.
Interior
The 2018 Challenger is a five-seater coupe, but the SRT Demon can be configured to accommodate one to five people. For a muscle car, it’s surprisingly spacious and comfortable, with ample legroom and 16 cubic feet of trunk space. The car comes standard with dual-zone automatic climate control, two USB ports, Bluetooth connectivity, and the Uconnect infotainment system with a 7-inch display, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Optional features include satellite radio, Alpine six or nine-speaker audio system, Harman Kardon 18-speaker audio system, 8.4-inch display, upgraded Uconnect system, navigation, and power sunroof.
Safety Features
The 2018 Dodge Challenger received a five-star rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. It offers a rearview camera as standard equipment, as well as available forward collision warning, blind spot monitoring, rear parking sensors, and rear cross traffic alert.
